Pad Thai sauce

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

An authentic & delicious pad Thai sauce, suitable for fish free, vegetarian and vegan diets.  Perfect for making Thailand's classic noodle stir fried noodles or stir fried rice dishes. This sauce can also be used as a base for a salad dressing.

This product has been hand made by Jackie and contains only natural ingredients with no preservatives or fillers.  It is 100% vegan.

Ingredients: Soy sauce, unrefined brown sugar, tamarind pulp, rice vinegar, fermented seaweed extracts, fermented soy bean paste and sea salt.

Allergen information: contains GLUTEN, from soy sauce and wheat filtering

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE

This product can be kept for up to six months, if stored in a cool dark place. Once opened, the sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to four weeks.

 

How to make PAD THAI, traditional Thai egg fried noodles

INGREDIENTS

200g rice noodles, 4-5mm flat wide variety

2 spring onions, finely sliced

1 large red chilli, finely chopped

180g firm tofu, cut into 1.5cm pieces (or you can substitute prawns or chicken)

200g beansprouts

30g toasted red skinned peanuts

1/2 fresh lime

6 tbsp pad Thai sauce

2 free range eggs (or substitute 80g crumbled tofu)

2 tbsp water

Oil for frying

METHOD

Soak rice noodles in hand hot water for 10-15 minutes until softened.  

On a high heat, add a little veg or ground nut oil to a wok or large frying pan. Quickly fry the tofu (or whatever you are using) for 3-4 minutes, or until fully cooked, then set aside.  

Add half spring onions and 100g beansprouts to the hot pan (with about 1/2 tbsp oil), then quickly add softened noodles and 6 tbsp of pad Thai sauce. Stir fry on high heat for 1 min, then move noodle mix to one side, turn down heat to medium, add a little oil to space and scramble two eggs.

Once the eggs (or scrambled tofu) are cooked, mix thoroughly with the noodles and then add fried tofu (or the prawns or chicken if using). Add 1-2 tbsp of water, so mixture is not too dry, then remove from heat and add remaining spring onions and beansprouts, mixing well. Serve immediately and top with fresh chillies, toasted peanuts and a wedge of lime.

GADO GADO - An authentic & delicious Indonesian peanut sauce

ABOUT THIS PRODUCT

This fragrant and spicy peanut sauce can be used as a dip or marinade, and can be eaten hot or cold. It can also be used as a base for a peanut curry and is suitable for fish free, gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diets.  

This product has been hand made by Jackie and contains only natural ingredients with no preservatives or fillers.  It is 100% vegan and 100% gluten free. Prepared in small quantities to ensure the highest quality.

Ingredients: Peanuts, fresh chillies, dried chillies, red onion, coconut milk, garlic, turmeric root, galangal, lemongrass, ginger, tamarind pulp, gluten free tamari, paprika powder, salt, unrefined brown cane sugar.

STORAGE & SHELF LIFE : This product can be kept for up to twelve months, if stored in a cool dark place. Once opened, the sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to two months.

RECIPE TIPS

How to make GADO GADO, Indonesian vegetable salad with tofu or chicken

Gently warm the sauce, 1 tbsp per person, and adding a little water as necessary to make a thick pouring sauce.

Prepare the vegetables (such as cucumber, blanched green beans, cauliflower & carrots) by washing and slicing into sticks, add grilled tofu, tempeh or chicken, as desired. Pour over the sauce. Serve immediately.

To make the sauce less spicy, or to make a mild peanut curry sauce, add an additional tablespoon of coconut milk per person.

To use as a marinade:

Coat the tofu or tempeh or seafood with the peanut paste and grill or roast for 15-20 minutes. For peanut roasted chicken, part cook the chicken first then add the marinade about 15 minutes prior to the end of cooking.

This sauce can also be used as a base for a salad dressing (mix with rice vinegar) or added to soups and sauces.

This product has been hand made by Jackie and contains only natural ingredients with no preservatives or fillers.  It is 100% vegan and 100% gluten free.

 

Ingredients: Red chillies, garlic, shallots, sunflower oil, tamarind, tamari & salt

Allergen information: This product is made in a kitchen that prepares dishes with PEANUTS, GLUTEN, MUSHROOMS & EGGS.
