Bolton Winter Festival

Due to a change in the tipi programme, we are replacing my Supper Club pop ups this weekend with a one off special this Saturday!

We will be serving a very special ‘Hungry Gecko Street Food’ menu from Bolton’s Winter Festival Tipi in Victoria Square: ONE OFF SPECIAL THIS SATURDAY from 2.30pm until 8pm

The magnificent tipis are the newest addition to this year’s Winter Festival and are a welcome retreat from the cold wintery weather outside. These cosy, fairy lit tipis are offering delicious food and drink, live music stages as well as hosting lots of special festival events throughout the Christmas period. This Saturday 5th December, Jackie Kearney will be serving a special ‘Hungry Gecko Street Food’ menu, inspired by foodie travels from India to Indonesia!

We’ll be serving small plates for snacking, including ‘things on sticks’ & spicy wraps to enjoy whilst wandering around the shops and markets, as well as bigger plates for sharing and something sweet.

Dishes from just £3. No need to book, simply come along to the tipi from 2.30pm serving through to 8pm.

Pani Puri Pops

Chaat filled puri shells with tamarind sherbet, yoghurt & pomegranate (V/Vg)

Thai BBQ skewers

Sticky tofu puffs (Vg) or free range pork skewers, served with spicy peanut sauce

Crispy Tempura Cups

Tempura line-caught Cornish hake or oyster mushrooms (Vg) in lettuce cups with tamarind glaze

Khatte chole puri

Classic Indian street food snack with fried puri bread filled with tea-infused spiced chickpeas (Vg)

Rendang & Roti

Warming bowl of Malaysian style curry served with flaky roti & pickle (Vg)

Shashlik skewers

Spicy marinated paneer & vegetables (V) or free range chicken, served with mint raita & pickles
